Happy was, but not it isn't,
It's gone for now,
If or when it will return
Hasn't been determined.
It had to leave, it had no choice,
I should see that,
But I don't and won't
Till I have good reason.
Maybe the happy will come back different
I hope it's better.
Or could it be better,
Than it was yesterday?

I began writing poems in third grade. During adolescence I wrote the bulk of my words. Expressing that urge to be understood or maybe trying to understand my own feelings. I haven't written much in the past 15 years, but I need to thank my HS English teacher for continuing as long as I did. Thanks Mr. Jim Springer!
